Donna M. Simmons, M.C.D., Board Certified Audiologist
Donna M. Simmons, M.C.D, Board Certified Audiologist is an experienced and dedicated hearing aid specialist who is committed to helping those with hearing loss discover what they have been missing.
She is a lifelong resident of Sarasota, and graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School. Donna received her bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Tulane University, and then went on to earn a Masters of Communications Disorders in Audiology from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Louisiana. She did her clinical fellowship year at Oschner Clinic in New Orleans.
Donna has been a practicing audiologist in the Sarasota area since 1981 and is Sarasota’s “Doctor’s Choice” for hearing care. Donna is a trusted audiologist in the Sarasota community as over 125 physicians in Sarasota have referred to her. Previously she was the owner of the Hearing Care Center, and for 19 years was President of Doctors Hearing Center, both here in Sarasota. She opened Physicians Hearing Specialists in October of 2011. She also owns a second practice in New Orleans.
For the past seven years, Donna has sat on The Board of Trustees of the YMCA Foundation of Sarasota. She was Chairman of the Private Practice Committee for Florida Speech and Hearing Association for three years. She has served on the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Foundation since 1982, and was a member of Quota International, a non-profit organization empowering women, children, the deaf, hard of hearing and speech impaired in local communities around the world.
Both Physicians Hearing Specialists in Sarasota and Doctors Hearing Center in New Orleans are highly successful. She is proud of the fact that over one hundred doctors have referred patients to her, and that she is known for her professional, pleasant and caring attitude with all those who come to her for their hearing care needs.
